FIFA 15 and 16
FIFA is a great soccer/football game. It is filled with excitement and a little bit of anger (only if you lose or you did not get a goal). But partly it is very fun because on Saturday I went to my friend Arnav's house and he had FIFA 15 on his PS4. FIFA 16 is going to be realised on 22nd September 2015. FIFA 15 is an association football simulation video game developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts. FIFA stands for Federation International de Football Association.

Bars and Melody
Bars and Melody
Bars and Melody (Also known as BAM) are singers who are British. Bars and Melody are 2 young boys with rapper Leondre and singer Charlie. Leo is from a family of singers. Charlie went on The Ellen DeGeneres show before he went to the Semis in Britain’s Got Talent with Leo. They took part in the eighth series of Britain's Got Talent and came third in 2014. Now they are professional singers and tour the whole world for a live performance. Leo is Bars and Charlie is Melody. They are looking to sing more songs that they create themselves. I like them because they write songs from their heart and they care for their fans as much as they care for their parents. During their audition, they had automatically been entered into the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent after the head judge Simon Cowell pressed the "golden buzzer", a new feature introduced in the eighth series, and finished in third place. They refer to their fans as "Bambinos" or “ BAM” (BAM stands for Bars and Melody). Bars and Melody are set to release their debut album 143 on August 21.They are famous because they didn’t give up they kept trying there best and that’s what I like about them.
My favourite song from them is Beautiful and stay strong because it is so cool and Stay Strong is a song about anti-bullying and it is really cool. I wish they could come to New Zealand (Well they might) because I want to hear them sing to us (Like a live performance. Who wouldn't want that). I want to become like them in the future with my friends. But I will have to work REAL hard for it!

GAFE SUMIT
On August 12 ( ON MY BIRTHDAY) we went to GAFE. GAFE stands for Google Apps For Education. It was at Hobsonville Point Primary school. It was at North Auckland. It looked like half of the habitat was away and resting home. But they went to GAFE with me. It was my birthday, so it looks like a treat. It was so crowded, I had to sit on the floor (Well not sit on the floor, but you get what I'm trying to say). My favourite part of the Google Apps For Education was the Google Cardboard because if you look inside it, it looks like a game called, Subway Surfers. When we went back to school the ride was so long, as soon as I went home I was going to sleep for a long time. I wish I could go there again!

NYLD
NYLD
On August 5 all the year 6's had to something about someone that we met at NYLD. Me and Arnav did Darryl Sabin, a person that wanted to become an All Black. Mostly me and Arnav shared the mike and I was very nervous. It was also very entertaining because Henry, Markus and Taivero were doing a hip hop dance. Also the Special Guest was also a dancer. His name was Phoenix Pulianga. With him were his brother and his friend. It was so so funny and I nearly cried with laughter. I wish to go to NYLD again!

Daryl Sabin's Inspiration from NYLD Learning Story - August 2015

Rahi and Arnav collaborated together to provide a wonderful and inspiration component to the ‘Leadership Experience’ as a long awaited follow up to the NYLD that all the Year 6s attended in Term 2. The boys co-constructed a google slide presentation and speech (which can be found in the Leadership Experience presentation) all about Daryl Sabin. They sparked the curiosity of the crowd with the strong message of ‘stuff happens’ and ‘believe in yourself’’. The slide show showed the amazing pictures of mr Sabin’s recovery from a serious brain injury. They showed us how his father’s love and belief transformed a young man who couldn’t talk or eat for himself into someone who walked and talked to us at NYLD.

While Arnav and Rahi collaborated they made direct and indirect connections to their experience at NYLD. With support, prompting and guidance they were able to relate to others and manage themselves responsibly at times. They were enthusiastic and responded to changes with some resilience.

Zoo Trip
Zoo Trip
On last week Thursday our classmates went to the Auckland Zoo. It was so fun. My favourite part was when we went into the mere-cat tunnel and it was so fun. But unfortunately I hit my head on the concrete. OW! I wanted to buy some chips but I wasn't allowed. It was fun and I really want to visit the zoo again.
